Self Love During Covid-19

Updated: Apr 15, 2020

The world is shifting from a hyper-masculine mindset to a softer, more inward looking feminine way of being. How do we transition from "Let's Take Over the World" to "Let me surrender and return to myself"?

I'm getting the feeling that things are really changing 🌱

In our usual capitalistic, high-paced and masculine environment, women have had to shut off parts of their feminine softness in order to survive, compete and ultimately thrive. But at what price? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Now, we are given a real opportunity to turn within and start to feel passion, love and feminine wisdom again. In our bodies and out of our heads.

Something I've been meditating over is:

How do we go from "Let's Take Over the World" to "Let me surrender and return to myself."

Here are a few ways that have landed for me:

🖤Honor your body for exactly how it is in that moment.

🖤Be with your body: go for a juicy walk without your phone (if your country allows it, of course). Chances are there is less stimuli on the streets than the previous week. Take this opportunity to truly connect and notice the details you may have missed before.

🖤Hip circles (or write your name with your hips for 2 mins) to get blood flowing back to your feminine organs. Hips rolls help turn your intuitive sensuality and internal wisdom back on. 🖤Start dancing to whatever you are feeling. If you are feeling numb, be numbness. If you are feeling silly, be silliness. Your body will tell you what it needs.

🖤You may even ask your partner for a juicy spank to bring you back into your feminine (This one is a gem). Or, if you are alone, spank yourself! Also works.

🖤Self-pleasure, alway

🖤Self Love Practice: before the shower, massage oil on your body and thank each body part. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Last night I massaged my legs with oil before soaking in the tub, and told them thank you for carrying me all over the world and for following my passions. Then, I thanked my hands for creating creative content. Then I smiled at myself and just felt LOVE. Ugh. And, it felt freakin good to return home to myself again.
